How do I contact TDF?

Can I try a demo of a typeface?

Each typeface page on our website has type testers where you can type your own text, modify the size, spacing, colour and even try OpenType options. We can looking to offer downloadable demo files sometime in the near future also.

I can’t find the font I'm looking for?

From time to time we review and refine our collection. Occasionally we might remove a font from our website if we feel like it no longer fits TDF.

 

I'm a student, can I get a discount?

Currently we do not offer any discount to students, but hope to in the near future.

Is it ok to modify one of your typefaces to suit my needs?

You can edit the letterforms in programs like Adobe Illustrator, but only we can edit the typeface software directly. If required we can make adjustments to letterforms, add OpenType features, language support, weights or anything else that you might require. Please note that we will charge for our time involved with any modifications you request.  

Orders

Why can't I access my old orders?

If you placed an order prior to Nov 15th 2017 your order links will no longer work and you're previously created account has been deleted. We still have records of all licenses sold and all previously sold licenses are still valid. 

You are unable to access past orders because we changed our website platform and there was no way to migrate past orders, we do apologise for any inconvenience. Please just reply to your order confirmation email asking us to email your orders content and we can assist you.

Who buys the typeface? Me or the client?

That's up to you and who wants to own the license. If you are purchasing a typeface and your client is paying the license fee, you may use the typeface (assuming the correct number of users is licensed), but only for that client, since it is in their name and they paid. If you'd like your own license please purchase in your own name.

What are your payment options?

You can make payment with all major credit cards. Our payments are managed by Stripe, which is certified PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the highest level of certification available.

We also accept Bitcoin and Ethereum. Please contact us for more informaiton.

How do I access my order?

After completing your purchase, you will reach your purchases page. From here you can download all your orders. Your orders can be downloaded  again at anytime in the purchases section of your account.

Taxes and VAT

There is no sales tax (or vat) for customers outside of New Zealand (where TDF is located). We do not charge sales tax on any international orders, since international customers have no responsibility to pay this to the New Zealand government. In the (rare) event that you are based in New Zealand and shopping with us, please contact us before you place your order so we can apply GST.

Can I return my order or get a refund?

No. Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final and we cannot give out refunds or returns as we have no way to guarantee that our product will no longer be in your possession. Please order carefully. 

Physical products can be returned if faulty or damaged, return postage is at customer's expense. 

I need an invoice or receipt

Please see your order confirmation email for a PDF receipt. You can also download a copy from your account at anytime.

Using Typefaces

Can I design a logo with your typefaces?

Yes, absolutely. You’ll need our Desktop License for this.

Can I share typefaces with other people?

No. Only those who purchase a typeface license may use the typeface. Using one of our typefaces without a license is piracy. We actively look for our fonts in use and run license checks.

Can I send a printer / service bureau font files?

We'd suggest converting live text to outlines when sending your documents to be printed. If required you may send a service bureau font files, but you must ensure the files are deleted after your job is complete. Always ensure every computer using the font software is covered by your license. 

Can I embed typefaces in PDF documents?

You are permitted to embed subset font software in documents such as PDFs with the Desktop License. However a separate license is required for applications, computer software, epubs, kiosks, videos game, or any other kinds of embedding. Send us an email if you have any questions.

Why won't this font install on my computer?

First please check you've ordered the Desktop License. It's very common for us to have customers contact us saying the files they have won't install. 99% of the time they've brought a WebFont license and are trying to install WebFont files to their computer, which will never work. If you're having other issues, please contact us, we're here to help.

Souvenirs

How long does shipping take?

The USA and Europe can take about 3 to 6 weeks, sometimes faster and sometimes slower depending on how busy the postal service is. Australian orders take about 2 weeks.

My order is damaged

We're so sorry to hear this, we package our souvenirs as best we can within the weight and size limitations set by our shipping partner. It's rare but sometimes packages do get damaged.

If it was a free gift with a typeface purchase we are unable to replace this for you due to limited stocks of our free souvenirs. We will report the damage to our shipping partner to reduce the chances of this happening in the future.

If it was a purchased souvenir, please email us photos of the damage and we will assist you.

My clothing item doesn't fit

Sorry to hear that. We can replace it for you if it is unworn and returned to us in as new condition. Return shipping is not covered by TDF. Once we receive the item back we will send out the correct size to you. Please email us first to let us know you are returning an item.

Will you restock sold out items?

Most likely not. All our products are limited editon. Plus we would rather design new products.
